Star Mountain Education Foundation (SMEF) is committed to elevating the quality of education in mine-impacted communities, recognizing that schools are the foundation for building stronger, self-reliant communities. Here is a strategic plan to support primary, elementary, and high schools in these areas by providing the best teachers, adequate materials, and a robust curriculum.
Equip Schools with Resources and Infrastructure:
- Objective: Provide modern materials to enhance learning outcomes.
- Strategies:
- Supply textbooks aligned with the PNG national curriculum for core subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies).
- Provide digital learning tools, including tablets and solar-powered projectors.
- Establish libraries with books and internet access for students and teachers.
- Distribute teaching aids such as whiteboards, charts, science kits, and sports equipment.
SMEF envisions a future where every child in mine-impacted communities has access to high-quality education delivered in safe, resourceful, and inspiring environments. However, achieving this vision requires collaboration with governments, private stakeholders, and community leaders.
